Beginner Quilting 101

5/4/2024  9:30- 3:30  $40 class fee

Learn the basics of quilting with this class.  We will teach you how to make a four patch and a half square triangle block, add some borders and turn it into a table runner- this wall hanging pictured is made with just 4 of the blocks, so you can make more blocks and turn it into a quilt if you would like! We teach you how to cut accurately, how to sew a perfect 1/4", how to layer and quilt your runner and how to make and apply the binding- all in one day!  Stop in for the supply list.  Get 10% off all your supplies for this class- fabrics and notions.  Taught by Denise

Machine Applique 101

Sat., May 18th  9:30- 3:00 pm  $35 class fee  (Postponed to Sat., June 8th)

Make just one or all 3 of these cute summertime wall hangings.  They are very easy to make with your sewing machine.  You can either use the blanket stitch or a satin stitch to sew the applique's down.  Taught by Denise.  Stop in for your supply list.

 

Clothesline Bowls   FULL

Sat., June 1st  9:30- 3 pm  $35 class fee plus pattern

Make these beautiful bowls with some clothesline and a jelly roll or 2 1/2" scraps of fabrics and your sewing machine.  They are so easy to make!  You will need to have a fabric glue stick, a jeans needle and a roll of clothesline (available at In Stitches) plus a colorful jelly roll or plenty of 2 1/2" strips of fabric.

 

 

Sat., June 29th  Point of View Table Topper  $35 class fee plus pattern and tool

This is the newest version of the folded star hot pad but this one is a big one!  Finishing out at 18", you can pick your focal fabric for the middle and choose 4 more fabrics for the prairie points. This is super easy to make- even a beginner will have fun making these! They make a great gift for Christmas too!  Make for every season of the year- spring, patriotic, fall, Christmas, winter, etc.

 

Lone Star Class

Sat., July 6th  9:30- 3 pm  $35 class fee plus Quiltsmart pack

Learn how to make this classic quilt design and turn it into a wall hanging or as a center of a bed quilt.  This is beginner friendly!  No Y seams, just straight seams.  Final size is 38".  Choose your own colors to customize to whatever theme you want to do.  Looks great for a baby, Christmas, fall, spring or everyday decor.  Taught by Denise

 

60 Degree Diamond Table Topper

Sat., July 13th  9:30- 3 pm  $35 class fee plus Diamond Ruler $36.99

  This ruler makes a lot of designs, so you will get use out of the ruler.  This table topper looks great in patriotic fabrics, spring, fall or Christmas colors. These make great gifts too!  Taught by Denise.  Confident Beginner Friendly.

 

Double Wedding Ring 

Sat., July 20th  9:30- 3 pm  $35 class fee plus ruler set

  Let's make the classic double wedding ring!  This version is a little different because we aren't piecing the rings with little pieces of fabric.  We are using a solid piece of fabric to make the rings.  We will be using the Creative Grids Template set to make the Double Wedding Ring the old fashioned way.  Intermediate quilter level- there is curved piecing involved, so not beginner friendly.  Taught by Denise
